This is an older work I did for my grad show. It's an oil painting of my retro sci-fi villianess Miss Arachnia! The painting took forever, just about killed me.

I hit up the zoo for a few hours earlier today with a bunch of friends to do some drawings. Here's a few I came up with. :)

Here's a book trailer created for the book "The Chronicles of Landon Wicker: The search for Artemis" by P.D Griffith, where some of my artwork is featured. If anybody is interested in the book visit http://www.gryffpublishing.com/index.html to learn more.

So I finally decided to get off my bum and do another update. Last month I did a project for an independent publisher in town. They wanted 11 black and white illustrations to promote a new book they are selling called "The Chronicles of Landon Wicker: The Search for Artemis". Here are a few of the illustrations I did for the project. All characters are copyright to Gryff Publishing and all original art work is done by yours truly.

I've been MIA for the last month or so due to an illustration project I've been working on. I recently finished it up and will be able to post some of my new work soon. Until then I figured I would post some of the work I did for a story I was working on for my graduation show. It's an alien abduction story where the main character breaks free of his captors and escapes.

This is a creature design I did of what the aliens would look like.

A digi painting of the room in the alien space craft where the aliens would put the humans they abducted.
This was cover/poster style illustration of the main character in the process of being tractorbeamed into the alien spacecraft.

So I know lately I've been reworking some of my old art lately. My instructors would say "don't polish old turds" when referring to your work. Well you know what? I like my old turds(eewww!) and I'll rework what I like. Plus it gives me an excuse to use my fancy cintiq more. :]
So anyway to the work at hand. This was originally an ink drawing I did for a friend of mine that's having a baby...... she had her almost a year ago. Well, better late than never. Here you are Julie I hope you and Alexis like it.

So Street Fighter 4 has been out for about a year and the new characters they've made for the game have really inspired me to do my own street fighter type character. I always thought it would be cool to do a character that was inspired by a good artist and friend of mine Joe Oliver. He would fight using the martial art Jeet Kune Do, but only when it's necessary. He lives a nomadic existence traveling from coffee shop to coffee shop enjoying the occasional cup of coffee and cigarette. I know it's not a healthy habit for a professional fighter but a cigarette adds at least 20 cool points and Joe is all about cool B).
